- Brett offers private counseling for individuals, couples and families, and groups. His approach focuses on utilizing expressive arts therapy techniques to address and facilitate trauma and emotional healing. He is a faculty member in Idaho State University’s Social Work Department. He has presented on the healing and intervention of trauma to child welfare professionals and foster parents around the state . He knows the values and culture of our community and his counseling methods and philosophies are consistent with them. Brett gained a love and understanding of the foster community while fostering teen girls with his wife and children, and his subsequent work training foster parent for licensure. He knows the difficulties fostering can present to the fostering family as well as the foster child. He is always happy to utilize his skills in assisting and strengthening these families in the challenging and rewarding work of foster care.
